Gold on internet
When I was young, I don't know but some how at the end of my primary seven I joined a computer academy at our school computer laboratory.
I was excited to learn computer just like any kid anxious to begin his first day of school.
After about three weeks we had learnt writing using office word.
My joy ended when they asked for fees. I remember running home to tell the news to my uncle who had taken over from my grandma to take care of me when she passed on in 2000. He just smiled said , OK. And that was it.
But there is this place along republic street mbale town that had internet cafe but I had no idea what an internet cafe meant. So one day from seeing my mum wanting to cross to naboa road at the central police station. I don't know but my legs entered that room with lots of computers.
At the reception a play card red 25mins-500
50mins-1000
80mins-2000
I paid for the cheapest and was assigned a computer though didn't know what to search about I was determined, I went on self exploration . I was so excited.
Throughout high school I never dropped my passion to do computer and writing.
Eight years down the road little did I know there was gold on the internet.
Through Facebook in 2015 I met a woman on the internet from USA, we started chatting via social media giant Facebook. We got so close as friends. I don't how but some how she decided to surprise with $300 package, and that was not enough she swore to pay for my rent upkeep and food everything. I thought wow I'm the luckiest on this plannet. There I was like a salary earner.
Nothing is as good as that.
We have been friends with this mzungu uptodate and still keeping on her promise.
So there are really nice people on the internet and as well bad people but let me first share the good side of it first.
Through internet I have made a life and got office, it's home where you find me and changed people. Right now I'm now operating many business pages on Facebook. And I'm going to make an organization to help teach young people of the usage of digital media.
